Your privacy is important to us. This privacy policy explains what data is collected by the CBT app, how it is used, and your rights as a user.
1. Data Collection
The CBT app stores all therapeutic data locally on your device. We do not transmit your journal entries or personal data to any cloud or external servers.
We collect only:
- Session data (thoughts, emotions, intensity) – stored locally only.
- Ad-related technical data (via Google AdMob) – may include your device ID, approximate location (if granted), and ad interaction metrics.
- Voice input data – when using speech-to-text, voice is temporarily sent to Google’s Speech-to-Text service for processing (subject to Google’s privacy policy).
2. Advertising
The app displays ads via Google AdMob, which may use your device’s ad ID to personalize content.

3. App Permissions
The app may request access to:
- Microphone – for optional speech recognition features
- Internet – required for ads and voice processing
4. Data Security
We do not store your data in the cloud or share it with third parties. All journal entries remain on your device. We recommend regular device backups if your data is important to you.
5. Your Rights
As a user, you have the right to:
- View, edit, or delete your entries
- Stop using the app at any time
- Control permissions and ad preferences
6. Policy Changes
We reserve the right to modify this policy. Significant updates will be communicated in-app or via the app store.
